A Hillsborough County Public School
We are so excited to announce the first ever HCPS e-lympics! This event will feature talent from all around the district, focusing on careers related to eSports! First up, we have the eSports competitor circuit, which has everything from Smash to Rocket League. Each event will have its own set of rules, competition days, forms to fill out, etc.... So be sure to read diligently. Next up, we have the career clusters where students will submit a project that relates to that career field cluster. We have put together a panel of judges who will sift through the entries and determine the winner during our first ever HCPS e-lympics awards night. Submissions are due by spring break for each category and the awards ceremony will be in April (TBD). Good luck and may the dice be forever in your favor!
Q: What is the final date for all submissions?
A: March 24th at 11:59 PM
Q: Who is allowed to enter?
A: Anyone who is a currently a high school student in HCPS. You must, however, have a sponsor from a nearby high school sign off on your entry.
Q: For the competition series, like Smash Bros, will there be any other competitions throughout the year?
A: Each school's club is able to run any event of their choice! There is word that some schools will be hosting their own club tournaments as the year goes on. However they will not count towards district seeding, they are run by their school's clubs and sponsors. They are entirely separate.
Q: How can my sponsor get more information?
A: Email michael.gabany@hcps.net and ask for permission to join the HCPS eSports Sponsors Team Chat
