For a limited time, refer a friend or family member for a bus driver position at Hillsborough County Public Schools and you’ll get up to $1,500 IN CASH once they’re hired and remain for up to 3 years.  Referring is easy!

1 - Tell your friend or family member to list you as the referral source on their job offer form.

2 - Your friend or family member must apply, be hired, and be processed into a bus driver position.

3 - Once they’re hired, you’ll receive a Referral bonus of up to $1,500 if the recruited driver stays at least three (3) years:

• Year One
  • $250 paid to the employee when the recruited driver becomes permanent
  • $250 paid to the employee when the driver is no longer probationary (12 months)
• Year Two
  • If driver is still employed with the District, $500 paid to the employee at Winter Break
• Year Three
  • If driver is still employed with the District, $500 paid to the employee at Winter Break

The referral program is available to all transportation, non-management personnel.

NOTE: Calls or emails will not qualify you for a reward—applicants must list you as their referral source on their job offer form. Applicants will be subject to the interviewing and screening processes appropriate for the position. An applicant referred by an employee is NOT GUARANTEED employment with our district. All referrals must be outside candidates and not currently employed by Hillsborough County Public Schools. To be eligible for the reward, an employee must be listed as the referral source on the applicant’s job offer form.
