  • Hispanic Heritage Month

    Hispanic Heritage Month

    September 15 - October 15

The 2021 Hispanic Heritage Month observance theme: “Esperanza: A Celebration of Hispanic Heritage and Hope.” The theme invites us to celebrate Hispanic Heritage and to reflect on how great our tomorrow can be if we hold onto our resilience and hope. It encourages us to reflect on all of the contributions Hispanics have made in the past, and will continue to make in the future. It is also a reminder that we are stronger together.

Did you know that more than 80,000 students in our district identify as Hispanic? Our nation honors Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 – October 15. We look forward to celebrating the richness and diversity in our schools through learning, professional development, recognitions and partnerships. Students, educators and families can participate using a diverse suite of learning resources, contests, and spotlights available on our Hispanic Heritage webpage

  • How to interpret Your Child's Data:

I received my child’s data, what does it mean? Who do I speak with regarding my child’s data? What are key questions I should be asking the teacher/school staff? What is progress monitoring? During this workshop, we will provide participants with information about the various assessments that are administered by levels: elementary, middle, and high school. We will discuss the data related to outcomes, and how it impacts your child. Lastly, we will discuss what are the right questions to ask about your child’s data. See the attached flyer, then please join us and find out how to support your child with a better understanding of the data.

Behind Every Data Point is a Child Flyer
